Appear.in – Each Video Chat Rooms For Advisers

I was sitting with one of the people I worked with, Bill James recently and very rarely it’s Bill giving me advice on technology but this time I’ll take my hat off to him.

He showed me a new  little piece of technology called Appear.in.

This might benefit advisers wanting to start of doing a few more video calls but don’t want to deal with hard technology that sometimes comes with it.

Things like GoToMeeting etc. do involve you installing stuff on your pc which can be a bit of a challenge if  you’re working with corporate or if you’re working with people that may have issues around that.

So he introduce me to this piece of Software. Now what you can do with this piece of software is you can create a chat room that always sits and stays with your business so people can jump into it and out of it at any point, which is quite cool.

It’s something that can sit on the bottom of your email signature and you can literally say if you’re chatting to somebody “Hey, just click the link at  the bottom of my email signature and jump into the chat room and let’s have a chat.”

You don’t have to explain how to do it, you don’t have to teach them new technology, it’s pretty neat!

So let me show you how easy it is to set up a chat room.

So we could say advice-advisers – there’s probably an advice company called that. I’ve had clients and they’ve all have pretty much the same name it gets very confusing.  😉

But you’ve literally choose what your chat room you wanna call it.

At the top you’ll see your link to it is (Slash) /advice-advisers.  As you can see. “Hello everybody, I’m in my relaxed Friday gear.”

But what you’ll find on this piece of technology is quite simple stuff to work with. If you want to invite friends directly, you can click on invite, you can copy your link and put it on the bottom of your inbox and this chat room will always exist!

Just bookmark that link for yourself going forward so you always can get in there pretty easily.

All you need to do then is click on Claim Room, pop your name and your email  and it will actually lock this room to your business.

Benefits of this again is that it’s really simple. You saw how easy it was for me to get into this room

without any technical know-how and that I think is actually more valuable in technology these days than amazing stuff that is hard to work .

So, give it a try Appear.in and create your own room for your business. You might find it only get used a few times but if you do get a lead or referral from much further down the line you may want to actually see them face to face and you may not want to deal with going back and forth on Skype and another tools.

This can also be used on your phone works directly on a Samsung or Android and for IOS or Apple you just have to download their app. It’s really that simple.

You can send stickers,you can share your screen, turn your video off if you want to be hidden.

But it’s really a neat piece of technology. Really simple, really easy great for that first meeting if you don’t want to go through something as big as sweet box but hopefully this helps you in your advisers business. Thank you very much. 🙂
