From Your Experience, What Separates Leading Advisers From The Pack?

Hey guys, hope you are doing really well. Here’s the second part of our blog series with Mark Sutherland, we asked him this question – From Your Experience, What Separates Leading Advisers From The Pack? Here’s what Mark has to say.

  • They are organize and structured. They know exactly what they’re doing, when they’re gonna do it and how they gonna do it. That’s number 1.
  • When they get up in the morning, they look at the mirror. They say this to themselves “what do I want to achieve today?” As oppose to “what do I have to do today?” There’s no desperation here. “I have to do this, I have to do that” No, there’s no desperation. Calm down. “This is what I want to achieve today!” and then they set about going after that.

The next thing that people out and front do, is they won’t be out-trained.

In sports we call it out-trained, do not be out-trained. 

My athletes won World Championships, Olympic Medals because we would not be out-trained by any other athletes in the world.

It’s the same in business. A leading sales person is never going to be out-trained by somebody else because they are so competitive. It’s the mega competitive people who get out at the front and make the most money and the most sales and help the most people which is absolutely what their focus should be on.

There are two other questions that they can ask themselves as well.

1.“If I do this will it grow my business?”

If it’s not gonna grow your business Don’t Do It! It’s silly.

2.“Is what I’m doing a return on investment or a distraction?”

So easy to get distracted isn’t it? You can go on read the emails, you can go on and read the paper,  instead of doing your job.

Now, imagine what you could do with all those distractions if you turn them into energy to drive your business forward.

Now, the last thing. The biggest, the bestest, the fastest. Those individuals who just seem to dominate all the time, what they have is positive proactive habits. They sleep well, they eat well, they exercise well, they prepare well, they have really good solid habits that actually take them from where they are every day to where they want to be.

That’s how the leaders beat everybody else. Cheers!
